We spent a week at Casa da Lila in mid-September 2021 and can only agree with the praises of the other guests. A beautiful house, extremely tastefully decorated with everything you need, even a parasol for the beach! The town of Silves is also highly recommended, as it is pleasantly different from many of the big hotels on the coast. In short: we would come back anytime and recommend Casa da Lila 100 percent.

We stayed at Casa da Lila in July ‘21 with 2 couples.
The house is magnificent ! A gem behind a modest façade. It has everything you can dream of, all of superior quality, well maintained and with good taste.
The house is very spacious, the view from the terraces is unique.
The neighbourhood is very quiet and supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and sightseeings are within walking distance.
The owners are very friendly and communication with them is smooth. They answer all your questions and provide a lot of information.
The housekeepster is very helpful during check-in and always available if needed.

We recommend Casa da Lila for more than 100%. Don’t hesitate and enjoy your next holidays in Portugal.

We stayed at Casa da Lila for the whole of January 2021, what a dream. Despite these difficult Corona times, we felt completely comfortable. The house leaves nothing to be desired (for us!). Very inconspicuous from the outside, then the door opens and WOW!!! Everything has been furnished with a lot of love, thoughtfully planned and not too big even for 2 people, because the bedrooms are spread over 3 levels. For me, as a passionate cook, the kitchen was perfect, everything you need is there and of good quality, so cooking was a lot of fun. And when you’re sitting on the terrace with a sundowner, admiring the many storks and enjoying the peace and quiet, then you’re in luck. We also found it perfect that you can go out the door and enjoy village life, shopping can be done on foot, whether to the market hall, to the supermarket, to the cafe for breakfast, to dinner, everything is within walking distance. And otherwise Silves is a beautiful little place and you can reach everything perfectly by car, whether beaches, hinterland, west coast! We can only recommend the Algarve as a travel destination and Casa da Lila as accommodation for everyone who loves the individual even on vacation. And we will definitely be back!

After we started our vacation in Portugal in July 2020 with (due to corona) mixed feelings, our first travel destination turned out to be a hit: The Casa da Lila in Silves. Rarely have my family and I felt so comfortable in a holiday accommodation from the first second. This was largely due to the nice and helpful Natália, who gave us a warm welcome and provided us with valuable tips and suggestions. The pictures of Casa da Lila on the internet were already promising – but our expectations were even exceeded in every respect. The rooms of this lovingly renovated house radiate an absolute feel-good atmosphere and a lot of personality. Starting with the consistently tasteful furniture, the comfortable beds, the perfectly equipped kitchen, several modern and beautiful bathrooms and the many small and useful details that you don’t necessarily expect in a holiday home. Back from various excursions in the immediate vicinity or to the sea, we were always happy to step through the narrow white door into the house, sink onto the sofa and cool off with a glass of wine or a dip in the pool. Incidentally, the division of the rooms is so well done that there are various possibilities to retreat and everyone can have their own small area, both inside and outside. In any case, it was ideal for us as a family of 4 with two teenage children – but I could also imagine that other constellations with up to 6 people would work very well here. Conclusion: I can and would like to recommend the Casa da Lila and I am sure that this will not be the last time I have been here. Unfortunately, the four days passed far too quickly. So on the day of departure we said goodbye with many beautiful impressions, a satisfied smile on our faces and a little “Saudade”. Many thanks to Angela, Herman and Natália – I’m already looking forward to the next visit!

I have had the pleasure to stay at Casa da Lila twice, including in March 2020. This is a stunning home in a great location. I have used it as a base from which I’ve explored much of the Algarve. Herman & Angela have always been very helpful, are easy to communicate with and provide everything needed for a comfortable, relaxing stay. I absolutely love this home – the architecture, furnishings, natural light, multiple outdoor areas & more make this an incredible place to stay. I hope to return soon!

To escape the unfriendly winter in Germany we booked Casa da Lila in February and our expectations were exceeded in every way. In Silves, Herman and Angela have created a gem with many design gems. The house looks inconspicuous and small from the street side, inside it is light and wide and very spacious on three floors. The whole house is tastefully and comfortably furnished with a great TV and music system in the living room, the kitchen is perfectly equipped and the beds are really comfortable. You can relax on the terrace, enjoy the view and listen to the storks clatter. We were warmly welcomed by the lovely Natalia, who takes care of the needs of the guests and is happy to give tips for things to do, restaurants etc.
Silves is a town worth seeing away from the big tourist streams and is ideally suited as a location. You can reach the sea and the hinterland quickly by car.
A wonderful holiday address to which we would like to return!

Casa da Lila was our home for 9 days over Christmas. We had chosen the house because of its description and the good rating in order to meet up with our 2 adult sons + wife for 4 days over Christmas and then to explore the Algarve as a couple.
From the very first moment, the house inspired us with its personal atmosphere: the very cozy living room, the practical kitchen, the wonderful view, a luxurious master bedroom under the roof, the beautiful terraces, enough space to retreat, a great sound / TV Attachment….
Casa da Lila is of an amazing quality of craftsmanship that we would not have expected in Portugal. The modern architecture and furnishings are very tasteful and personal without being too private. We felt very comfortable.
We can recommend Casa da Lila for all seasons – for two, for four with good friends, for six with 2 additional children (no small children), who will certainly find the multifunctional room with the mattresses on the floor cool.

Casa da Lila is a comfortable house in every season, the light of the Algarve in all 3 floors, beautiful moods and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside with a special view sitting at the dining table watching the flight of storks…
There is nothing missing in the kitchen and bathrooms, our bed was wonderfully comfortable. The owners’ passion for design, materials and furniture gives the house a unique flair. Light and cheerfully furnished, unobtrusive and with a sure taste, you discover furniture and rooms more and more with the changing light during the day. We quickly felt welcome and safe every day. This applies to the special place Silves with its history, its proud castle, the cathedral is worth seeing, the old town and the friendly people, as well as to the surroundings with pictorial rock coasts and beaches, the Monchique mountains, the cork oak forests , the vegetation, the blossoms, the fruits and the scents…
thank you very much that we were allowed to be your guests, we would gladly come back here.

We enjoyed our two-weeks stay in Casa da Lila very much. The house offers all modern comfort in an authentic surrounding. The open design makes the house feel spacious and luxurious. The house is very well equipped and when extra help was required, the house manager was there to take care of this. Even in January it was possible to enjoy the sunny weather on 1 of three terraces with a nice view over the city.

The location in Silves is convenient enough to leave our car parked in front of the house and walk to the shops, the nearest supermarket or one of the (excellent) nearby restaurants for a great meal. Based on the available information in Casa da Lila we also had no trouble in finding one of many golf courses to play a couple of rounds. The neighbors gave us an intimate insight in all-day Portuguese life which added an extra to the experience of celebrating our holiday in Casa da Lila instead of a hotel or resort.

Casa da Lila offered us everything to enjoy our stay in the Algarve. We are sure to come back soon.
