The rental fee includes the use of Wi-Fi, water, gas and electricity, TV, weekly change of towels / bed linen, using cot and high chair and final cleaning. Not included is the wood for the log burner.
The rent is calculated on the number of people staying in the house. If visitors stay overnight during your stay, this is not a problem, but there are costs involved. Please report this on arrival or during your stay to the house manager. This also applies to guests who spend the winter in Casa da Lila.
Discounted wintering rates exclude weekly cleaning. Interim cleaning can be arranged on request at a surcharge. The wood for the log burner is not included.
You are kindly requested to pay the security deposit of € 300, – with the 2nd payment of the remaining 50% of the rental fee. If no damage has been caused by you, this security deposit will be returned to your bank account within 7 days of your departure. In case of damage, part of the security deposit is withheld or additional payment of damage requested.
At the time of booking a 50% down payment is required. The remaining amount must be paid, together with the security deposit, 8 weeks before arrival in Portugal.
The reservation is fully confirmed once we have received your down payment of 50%.
Arrival and departure
On the day of arrival you can enter the villa from 4 PM and you must vacate the villa by 10 AM on your departure day. This is to enable us to clean the villa before arrival of the next guests.
The owners of Casa da Lila, and the people they work with to run Casa da Lila, do not accept any liability or responsibility for the consequences of possible accidents, theft, and the like during your stay in Portugal, and in particular in and around the house, Casa da Lila, caused by whatever circumstances.
COVID-19 – bookings made from 1 August 2021: Customers will receive a credit (“voucher”) for the full amount of the (down) payment which can be used to make a new reservation with us in case of the following strict travel restrictions:
- There is a quarantine obligation on arrival / return
- A local lockdown (not allowed to travel within regions)
- Travel bans
Note: if stricter travel restrictions are introduced for the Algarve we will ask our customers to wait with the rebooking request until 14 days before arrival as the situation can still develop positively. If you want to cancel your reservation more than 2 weeks prior to your arrival date, then our regular cancellation conditions apply – see next paragraph.
Customers will not receive a credit (“voucher”) in case of the following restrictions:
- Test or vaccination obligation
- Canceled flight
- A positively tested member of the travel group
- Tests for access for indoor locations
- Travel restrictions due to measures in a country you drive through
- The earlier closing of the catering industry
- A mouth mask obligation
The credit/“voucher” will be valid for 1 year after your original booking date.
We will always return the security deposit, if already paid.
Regular cancellation conditions: After you have notified us of your (planned) cancellation, we will immediately open our calendars to try to find other guests who want to come in your place. In case we can rent out the full period to other guests, we will refund you the sum of your (down) payment. If we were able to partly rent out the period, we will refund you the amount related to how many days were booked by the new guests. For both cases costs will apply, for example if we need to pay commission to a booking platform. We will always return the security deposit, if this was already paid.
In all circumstances we strongly recommend you to take out a travel insurance which includes cancellation cover.
By booking and subsequent (down) payment of the rent you agree with the rental conditions of Casa da Lila.
