In November, I took the train from Zurich to Seville. From there, I continued by car to Silves to Casa da Lila, the highlight of my trip. The moment I stepped inside, I knew that reality would surpass all the photos and descriptions. The house is wonderful. Every detail is perfect, and the quality of the furnishings and fittings is exceptionally high. This also applies to the kitchen. In the evenings, I cooked and ate in the beautiful setting.

Communication with the owners, Herman and Angela, was excellent and very accommodating. Wonderful hosts. Nathalia, the on-site manager, was also very kind and helpful, offering great tips.

After consulting with Herman and Angela, I was also able to visit Quinta da Lila in Monchique, their second holiday home. The houses are located a little outside the town, nestled among vineyards and forests. Although I couldn’t go inside, what I saw from the outside was again wonderful. Very stylish, a great integration of existing structures, high-quality materials and workmanship. I’m sure I would have been just as impressed inside. It’s wonderful that there are hosts who passionately create spaces where one can then spend time.

We spent a week in this beautiful house and immediately felt at home.

It is furnished with great attention to detail and is very functional; nothing is lacking.

The view from the dining room table, especially at sunset, was breathtaking.

Natália gave us a very warm welcome and provided us with excellent tips for restaurants and sights. Silves is a peaceful little town where you can truly unwind and quickly leave the stress of everyday life behind.

We would love to come back.

We spent our holiday in this fantastic holiday home in September 2025. The amenities leave nothing to be desired, and it’s clear how much effort, thought, and love went into the design.

Besides the house itself, the location is a great base for all kinds of activities around the Algarve, and Silves itself, with its charming old town, is perfect for strolling.

We would book this house again in a heartbeat and are already looking forward to visiting again in the future.

Casa da Lila in charming Silves is definitely worth a visit. We spent two very relaxing weeks with our children (10 and 12 years old) in this perfectly designed house and felt extremely comfortable.

Despite its central location, the house is quiet and in impeccable condition. The photos and descriptions are authentic, and there were only positive surprises, which is not always the case these days. Silves is ideally located in the Algarve: beautiful beaches, which are not overcrowded, at least not in July, can be reached in just 15 minutes by car. Many of the region’s must-see attractions are also easily accessible. Everything is straightforward: from a delicious breakfast with jazz music under the trees at Café Da Rosa, just a five-minute walk away, to numerous shopping opportunities, a diverse selection of restaurants (which Natalia generously shared with us), and current event tips, such as the jazz festival in the neighboring village.

… And yes, we too have become fans of the many storks that have made Silves their home, and we look forward to returning to this beautiful country soon.

This home was just bliss from the moment we walked through the front door. You’ll be super comfortable as the house has everything needed for a few restful days. Spotlessly clean, superb design and three perfect terraces to enjoy throughout the day.

We were privileged to spend 10 wonderful days in the Algarve at Casa da Lila. The charming town of Silves is the perfect starting point for many activities and excursions, whether by the sea or into the hinterland. We particularly enjoyed the life, far from the tourist trails. Thanks to Nathalia and Herman’s excellent restaurant recommendations, we were well catered for.

We felt very comfortable in the house! The location is especially well-suited for four people. The two bedrooms are separated by the living and kitchen floor and each has its own bathroom.

A special experience in Silves were the many storks, which we were able to observe from the dining table at breakfast and which are present throughout the town.

We can definitely recommend Casa da Lila and would like to thank Angela, Nathalia, and Herman for their friendly welcome.

Four of us enjoyed this beautiful house at the beginning of October.
Each level has something special and the terraces offer varied views over Silves. Great opportunities to sit outside in sunny weather, but even when it rains you can stay inside.
What I particularly noticed was that the bed linen and towels smelled great. It was sparkling clean when we arrived, Natalia was available at all times, the location is central and we felt at home from the very first second.
We can recommend this house without reservation!

We spent almost a week in this real dream house at the beginning of October. It is exactly as many of the previous comments have described it; when you stand on the street in front of it, you cannot imagine the miracle of space that opens up when you enter the house. Many small and large details that contribute to the extremely successful overall design of this great house. There is plenty of space in the house and on the various terraces, nothing is missing for normal use. Contact with the owners, the handover, etc. went smoothly.

Good recommendations for restaurants in the area, which we were very happy to use. The location is absolutely top-notch, a quiet environment and you are in the center of Silves, a nice little town, in just a few minutes. Overall, we can only recommend the Casa da Lila to anyone for a vacation in this region.

A dream house, we had a wonderful relaxing holiday in this dream house with our 3 teenagers as a family of 5.

Very clean, top designer furnishings, lots of space, very central location in the heart of the old town, very quick walk to shops, cafes, market hall, restaurants.

Brilliant plunge pool, fully equipped kitchen, you can cook star-class meals there, enough space and storage, 3 balconies and of course a wonderful evening atmosphere every evening = sunset, starry sky. If I had had 1,000,000 balloons with me, I would have tied them all to the house and let the house fly to Switzerland.🥰

We spent the winter in Casa da Lila in February/March and felt at home from day one. The house exceeded all our expectations. It is really even more beautiful than the photos suggest. The contact with the owners was very warm and the service around the house was just perfect.

Silves is a very nice little place with lots of good restaurants and cafes. Beautiful beaches and bays are just a few minutes away by car.

We had 5 great days at Casa da Lila in November. Everything was perfect: architecture, design, interior, materials and views – we felt completely at home. The kitchen is fully equipped and it’s actually really fun to cook and eat there. Despite the beautiful town of Silves and the many nearby natural attractions, you hardly want to leave the house. Communication with the hosts was very pleasant right from the start and handing over the keys was uncomplicated. Casa da Lila – an absolute highlight for us!

Loved every minute in this beautiful house in this beautiful town Silves. We could have stayed forever. The house is amazingly equipped, very stylish and comfortable – the perfect haven ‘in between the locals’, while exploring all the nearby beaches and villages. Even just spending the day at home is a treat – with great restaurants and groceries nearby in Silves. Ideal for a perfect holiday. We will return!

We had a wonderful time in the city of Silves and especially in the Casa da Lila: It is individually and stylishly furnished, the comfort is very good and the communication with Herman Koppe is extremely pleasant and reliable. The reception in the house itself was very warm in every respect, special thanks also to the very nice Natalia! So all in all it was a great pleasure!

We stayed at Casa da Lila in early October and had a wonderful time. The house is actually as beautiful and perfect as in the photos.
The wonderful floors, light-flooded rooms, bathrooms and terraces on all three levels and everything very tastefully furnished … We and our teenagers felt very comfortable.
Silves is a pretty town and you can reach the great beaches of the Algarve in a short time. The weather in early fall was mild and we were able to walk without problems
